Robert Cossaboon Delivers Welcome Speech At Associated Builders And Contractors Awards Ceremony
April 26, 2007
Skillforce helped to underwrite the ABC Awards Ceremony, recognizing those contractors who represent the very best in merit shop construction.
"I don't think anyone would disagree that this industry needs ABC. The single biggest issue contractors' face today is maintaining a skilled and trained workforce of craftsmen and women. No other organization trains more people in apprenticeship, supervisory training, and safety training and tonight we continue ABC's mission to advance the merit shop marketplace".
In the last 4 years, Skillforce has become the largest locally owned Skilled Labor Contractor in the Mid-Atlantic and continues to expand its presence across the country. This success is due in no small part to the business and support Skillforce recieves from nearly 80% of its ABC members. Skillforce provides a supplemental workforce of Electricians, Carpenters, Plumbers, and HVAC mechanics as well as providing pre-apprenticeship helpers in the joint ABC/Skillforce venture called Project Jumpstart.
"To my fellow associate members, let Skillforce and others be an example of one thing; membership is not just about paying dues, getting your name listed in a directory or going to a few networking events. Take an active role in supporting the causes of merit shop construction and our membership will support you with their patronage," said Robert Cossaboon, President of Skillforce.
Skillforce was pleased to play a part in this event, and add it's voice of congratulations to those companies being honored.
